a couple things
since my last post i've actually done several things that i consider blogable, and i probably would have written about them if i had thought about it at the time. so here is a short little sumarry of what those entries would have been.
- i had a great 4th of july with a couple of friends at lake tahoe. we camped at fallen leaf lake campground for three nights. each morning we ate breakfast at Heidi's on southshore (i reccomend the bacon waffle), and then went to the beach. i learned that sunscreen expiration dates actually do matter, and that ignoring them can lead to serious sunburns
-i saw ray davies (former singer of the kinks) play at the warfield in san francisco. he was hilarious and suprisingly energetic for a 60 year old guy. also, just a couple of days ago i saw crosby, stills, nash, and young play in concord. they still had their voices and harmonies down, but Stills looked like he was going to fall over, and his voice wasn't as strong anymore. their old songs were great still, but all of their new songs were very political, (ie "Let's impeach the president" was one title), which wasn't what i really went there to hear about. but their performance of "keep on rocking in the free world" and "woodstock" at the end made up for anything else.
-i got my housing assignment for school and it is not at all what i expected. i requested to share an apartment and expected to pay maybe $800/month. instead they gave me a studio in a super nice building for double the cost. if i don't take it i get put on a waitlist, which won't work because i leave for school in just 18 days. not the best situation... i guess i'll just have to guiltily enjoy the nice place for the year while watching the student loan debt go up, and then look for someplace cheaper.
allright, that's all the blogging i'll do for today. notice that i came close to violating both rule 2 and rule 1, but i think i slipped by ok.

it's a waffle that has bacon cooked into it. and it's delicious.
